Pontoon Rentals

-20' BOAT (10 people max) -$400/half day (4 hours)-$600/full day (all day)

The boat has a 50 hp mercury and goes about 17-20mph. Water skiing, wakeboarding and tubing not allowed. Pontoon boats are great for cruising swimming and fishing. *Lake Lure has an enforced policy for everyone’s safety and the conservation of our beautiful resource that commercially rented boats NOT tow.

Lake Lure is a small man-made lake with less than 27 miles of shoreline. It is not an inexhaustible resource, and it is not easily compared to other lakes in the region in terms of their regulations for use or the unique challenges that all lakes have. The lake is approximately 720 acres, with about twenty-one miles of shoreline. Located in Western North Carolina, Lake Lure sits in the heart of Hickory Nut Gorge. East of Asheville, the Rocky Broad River tears its way in a series of rapids down through Hickory Nut Gap. This crystal clear water flows through a valley shaped roughly in the form of a Maltese cross to make Lake Lure. The climate is unusually good as Lake Lure lies in the "Thermal Belt."
Lake Lure and the surrounding areas are famous for hiking, bird watching, fishing (fly, spinning, lake and river), rock climbing, skiing, shopping, golfing, swimming and boating.

Rules

Go Slow – no wake is allowed within 75 feet of shore. Please be aware of the no wake zones
All children under 13 must wear flotation device at all times.
No Towing is allowed
Do not allow passengers to ride at bow of boat with feet overhanging.
No open containers of liquors or mixed alcoholic beverages are allowed on the boat.
Yield to boats towing someone
No beaching the boat
Please don’t park and swim out in the middle of the Lake. Be aware of other boats at all times!
